Large double-sided painted wooden screen, made by Indian master craftsmen from Rajasthan, in the early 20th century.
This four-leaf folding screen is composed of multiple panels of different sizes, carved and painted, surrounded by white, red and golden nets.
Some panels are openwork and represent foliage and branches. All the solid panels are painted on a black background with rich illustrations.
These represent scenes of tiger hunting. Men in traditional clothing are equipped with spears and swords. They sometimes fight with their bare hands or on the back of an elephant to kill the wild animal.
This unique screen combines Indian art and functionality. This large dimensional decorative piece will add depth and character to your home decor.
