    Important vase by Archimède Seguso for Venini in Murano, rectangular in white-lined blown glass decorated with blue circles.
    Perfect condition (inclusion of 2 tiny air bubbles on one side)

    Archimedes Seguso (1909-1999)
    Master glassmaker of the firm "Seguso Vetri d'Arte" in 1933 to 1945, it was in 1946 that he founded his own glassworks of which he ensured the artistic direction. In the 1950s he renovated the old technique of filigree which he applied to pieces with asymmetrical shapes. He participated in numerous exhibitions, notably at the Venice Biennale in 1952.
    Gino Seguso  inherited one of the most prestigious glassworks in Venice from his father, who died in 1999.
