An elegant and particularly large Art Nouveau vase made of acid-etched multilayered glass, crafted by Établissements Gallé. It is distinguished by its slender, tapered silhouette, its delicately flared trumpet-shaped neck, and its circular pedestal base.
The vase features a panoramic depiction of a lakeside woodland scene, finely etched through the various layers of glass.
This landscape is part of the naturalist tradition developed by Émile Gallé at the turn of the 20th century, in which forest scenes, reflections on the water, and variations in light occupy a central place in the decorative repertoire.
These compositions continued to be produced by the Gallé workshops in Nancy after the artist’s death in 1904.
Signature: Signed “Gallé” at the bottom of the landscape.
