    Cecil Aldin (1870–1935) was a renowned English illustrator and painter who specialized in horses, dogs, hunting scenes, and stagecoaches. He is highly sought after by collectors of British art. 

    This engraving depicts an English stagecoach traveling from “Liverpool to London,” with the inscription “Saracen’s Head, Liverpool”—a subject that Cecil Aldin illustrated on several occasions. This scene is well known.
