    Artist : Diane Coomans
    This is most probably a work painted by Diane Coomans (1852-1909), a Belgian artist specializing in historical and neo-antique scenes.
    She was the daughter of Belgian Romantic painter Pierre Olivier Joseph Coomans.
    Her style was part of the academic and neo-classical trend, very much in vogue at the end of the XIXᵉ century, with scenes inspired by Antiquity (columns, drapery, Mediterranean landscape).

    Lemercier & Cie was one of the most important Parisian lithography houses in the XIXᵉ century.
    Active between the 1820s and the end of the century, they printed numerous works of art, posters and reproductions of paintings for the general public.
