Two color optical views, dating from the 18th century with the original frame.
The first one represents the Place Dauphine in Paris and the second one "La Place de Louis XV lebien-aimez".
Optical views are prints of a particular type, engraved to be seen through a device, an "optic", which gives an impression of relief by using a lens through which one looks at the image.
In order to optimize this impression, the vanishing lines of the drawing are exaggerated.
