    Born on January 13, 1897 in Pogedaieffka. Pogedaieff studied at the School of Fine Arts in Moscow and was a student of Zouglinsky. As a painter, he painted portraits of many Russian and French personalities. Georges A. de Pogédaieff has an international career and exhibits in Moscow, Bucharest, Paris, Berlin, Vienna... In 1918, Georges A. de Pogédaieff started working as a decorator at the Petrograd Theatre.

    Between 1918 and 1919, Pogedaieff designed a project for the ballet "The Red Masks" by Nikolai Cherepine. The performance was given at the Bolshoi Theater by Kassan Goleizovsky and was performed in Moscow. Pogédaieff works in collaboration with Goleizovsky for the creation of a ballet scenario called "Gameleon or the revolution will win".

    In 1921 he designed a performance of "Hamlet" in Vienna and in 1922 he worked for the Cabaret Blaue Vogel "The Blue Bird" of Lascha Louchny in Berlin.
    During the 1950s, Pogédaieff worked for the Chauve Souris in Paris and realized projects such as "Le Crocodile" and "Cléopâtre et le grand guignol". He also illustrates works by Russian writers such as Gogol, Dostoiewsky and Chekoff.
    He also designed costumes for 'L'oiseau bbleu', 'Le Prince Igor', and 'Cyrano de Bergerac'.
