19th century Bacchus and Ariadne. Drawn and lithographed by Achille Devéria. Published by Goupil & Cie. Printed by Lemercier, Paris. Dry stamp Goupil. Enhanced with watercolours. 48,8 x 31,5 cm 19.2 x 12.4 inch The work is in a good condition, it has never been restaured. The paper is 19th century, and a few small signs of age show that the velum paper is 19th c. The watercoloured rehearsals are handmade, and of the time. The blind mark of Goupil (Goupil ended its activity in 1917) cannot be imitated and prooves among other elements the authenticity of the print. Exceptional quality of execution. Very decorative and sensitive.
