A Sèvres blue ceramic baluster vase, with an ovoid body, resting on a pedestal with an annular seat.
Beautifully decorated in gilt bronze, this vase shows cherubs in carriages, topped with bows in the Napoleon III style and decorated with plants, as well as torches interlaced with laurel wreaths.
On one of the compositions, the child frees a bird from its cage in order to carry a message, while on the other, the bird arrives in front of the recipient to fulfill its mission. These two scenes are highlighted by two scalloped belts fashioned in brass.
The neck is continuous and the mouth slightly flared.
The lip and the base are also decorated with thick gold edging.
This vase with its contrasting hue will please especially for its poetic spirit.
