Ceramic vase produced in Belgium by the earthenware factory Boch Frères Keramis at the end of the 19th century. Founded in 1841 by Eugene and Victor Boch, the Keramis factory, flagship of the Belgian industry, is known for its important productions and its collaborations with the art workshops of department stores.
This vase with an ovoid body, tapered and slightly concave towards the bottom, has decorations in relief of flowers and foliage, in polychrome enamels on a Sèvres blue background.
The neck and the mouthpiece are dressed with a gilded bronze ring, openwork and chiselled, with fleur-de-lis motifs.
Its seat, also in bronze, is decorated with scrolls, acanthus leaves and devil heads on each foot.
This vase, marked BFK 158 under the bottom, will attract attention through the depth and contrast of its colors.
