A rare and elegant Art Deco vase created by Charles Catteau for the Boch Frères Keramis factory in La Louvière, Belgium.

This iconic piece features the D.1210 pattern, composed of a striking geometric arrangement of black and yellow triangles, punctuated with orange cabochons, on a crackled white background. The lower section is enlivened by large, stylized blue-gray and black forms, lending the vase a strong architectural presence characteristic of the finest Belgian Art Deco.

The vase bears the Boch La Louvière "Made in Belgium" stamp on the base, the design number D.1210, and the shape number 908.
The model is documented in Marc Pairon's reference work:

Marc Pairon, Art Deco Ceramics – Made in Belgium, Charles Catteau Catalogue Raisonné, 2006, model no. 1328, page 635.
The D.1210 design was created by Charles Catteau in 1928 and is one of the most representative geometric designs of the Art Deco period of the Boch Keramis Fantasy Workshop.
Charles Catteau (1880-1966), artistic director of Boch Keramis from 1907, is today considered one of the most important creators of Art Deco ceramics in Europe. His creations are featured in the collections of numerous museums and foundations dedicated to 20th-century decorative arts.

Condition
Good overall condition.

Note:

A small, old firing flaw is visible only inside the neck; it does not penetrate the surface and is not visible when the vase is displayed.

Slight wear consistent with age on the upper rim.

The original geometric decoration, glazes, and crackle patterns are remarkably well preserved.

The vase is beautifully presented and retains all its decorative appeal.
