A superb collector's vase from the Tamnay-en-Bazois earthenware workshop in the Morvan region, reflecting the area's tradition of decorative ceramics. Baluster-shaped with a flared neck, it rests on a matching pedestal.
Its particularly expressive flamed glaze features a rich palette of turquoise blues, anise greens, fuchsia pinks, and deep purples, speckled with black, creating a vibrant, marbled effect reminiscent of the “craquelé” technique or “chiné” glaze so cherished by 20th-century regional pottery workshops. Pearlescent and iridescent highlights punctuate the body, accentuating the relief and depth of the design.
Dimensions: height 38 cm — diameter approximately 25 cm
Condition: very good condition, no apparent restoration
    Origin: workshop in Tamnay-en-Bazois, Morvan
An imposing and generously sized piece, equally suitable as a decorative item or a collector’s item, ideal for an interior that showcases a taste for 20th-century regional French ceramics.
