Art Deco flamed earthenware vase with salamander design - Saint-Clément, circa 1930

Elegant Art Deco earthenware vase with a deep brown flamed glaze shaded with black and ochre, featuring a beautiful speckled and slightly glittery effect throughout.

The body is decorated with a stylized salamander in relief, applied to the surface in a style typical of French decorative production from 1925-1935.

Very fine enamel quality, with drips and firing variations giving the piece great visual richness. The base is fully enameled, with the support ring left unfinished, typical of production in eastern France.

An incised monogram below the base is visible (GC), probably a workshop or modeler's mark.

This vase can be attributed to the Saint-Clément earthenware factory (Lorraine), known for its Art Deco animal decorations and flamed glazes.

A fine decorative object, representative of the taste of the 1930s.

Condition: good overall condition, slight traces of use on the heel, no cracks or apparent restoration.
