A rare and charming vintage Czechoslovakian earthenware fish serving set from the 1950s–1970s. Comprising six small dessert plates and their matching serving platter, it features an elegant fish shape inspired by popular designs from Digoin or Sarreguemines of the same era. Spray-painted decoration in delicate shades of blue on a creamy white background, with very pretty, shiny eyes.

The plates measure 21.5 cm in maximum length including the tail, 22 cm in maximum width at the fins, with a usable diameter of 18.9 cm and a height of 2 cm. The platter measures 37 cm in total length including the tail, 24 cm in maximum width at the fins, and 20 cm in usable width. In very good overall condition, close to new despite its age; one plate has a slight chip on the upper fin. There is slight natural crazing in the enamel on the platter and a few plates, particularly on one of them, as well as very subtle wear on the glaze along some outer rims, possibly original. Very rare marks from cutlery. Approximately 200 to 250 g per plate and 450 g for the platter.
