A faience mantelpiece set comprising a clock with a circular dial, signed Bridoux Gerbéviller, a fluted column decorated with polychrome flowers, knotted ribbons, and a laurel wreath on a turquoise and marble-effect ground, and a pair of cassolettes on column pedestals with foliate handles and a pink monochrome decoration of a lakeside landscape.
The clock is surmounted by a biscuit porcelain figure of three children warming themselves. The base is a carved plinth, with a small chip on the front. The set is unsigned and dates from around 1880-90. A similar model of the clock is in the Musée de l'École de Nancy.
