Superb pair of polychrome barbotine bowls, finely carved in relief, depicting graceful kneeling putti supporting a wide openwork bowl. The decoration evokes the great creations of the late 19th century in the taste of Wedgwood or Onnaing, with expressive modeling and vibrant enamel in shades of turquoise, emerald green, brown and golden yellow.
Each bowl rests on a four-lobed base richly decorated with foliage in relief, on which a poetic neo-Renaissance scene unfolds.
    Use
These bowls can be used as table centerpieces, storage trays, fruit bowls or simply as presentation objects in a refined interior. They fit perfectly into a Napoleon III, Victorian, cabinet of curiosities or romantic boudoir setting.
