Antique French silver sautoir necklace, composed of oval links arranged in an interlacing pattern and punctuated by finely striated oval elements. These are connected by round rings with the same striated finish, forming a 140 cm (55 in) long chain. It bears the French crab hallmark (for silver), applied randomly. It can be worn as a single chain, wrapped two or three times around the neck, or worn with or without the adjustable clasp, with or without a pendant.
