These Louis XV bronze candlesticks rest on a wide base with undulating contours composed of curves and counter-curves. The baluster-shaped shaft rests on a prominent navel and echoes the sinuous motifs of the base. The sockets are topped with a contoured candlestick cap. The decoration is finely chiseled with various floral motifs; the original silver plating has given way to a patina with beautiful golden highlights, which reflects the light and sparkles to brighten and embellish the interior where these candlesticks will be placed.
Dated to the 18th century.
