Ceiling light with pendulum/counterweight, whose position can be adjusted over almost the entire sphere defined by its length.
First edition circa 1957, designed by Johannes Joseph Maria (J.J.M) Hoogervorst aka Jan Hoogervorst (1918-1982) for Anvia (A.N.V.I.A: Algemene Nederlandse Verlichting Industrie Almelo). This "Lampe à Balancier" is one of three flagship designs, along with "Le lampadaire Sauterelle" (1955) and the "Lampadaire 8025″(1955), although it is probably the most "strictly" asserted as a functionalist lamp.
This piece has been carefully repainted in its original color by our restorer, its electrification rewired.
W 203 CM X D 38 (= reflector diameter) X H arm 80 CM.
