Large pair of "Carcel" style lamps in black painted sheet metal and polished brass, mid-19th century.

Their shape is inspired by Doric columns.

New wiring: gilt brass sockets for E27 screw-in bulbs, new wires.
The power supply is routed through the inside of the bases.
The pointed oval lampshades were created from a chinoiserie-patterned fabric.
