Superb pair of Napoleon III porcelain oil lamps, probably Japanese, in the Arita style.

The porcelain is richly decorated with intermingled multicolored Koi carp. Decorated in two reserves, three figures conversing against a lakeside landscape. On the upper part of each lamp, an animated landscape is also depicted in reserves.

Total height (including tubes) 75cm

Original moderator mechanism still present, to be overhauled. Note: minor oxidation to the frame of one of the lamps, a star-shaped impact to the globe of one lamp, and an impact to the body of the other lamp, which blends into the decor and has not compromised its solidity.

These defects, visible in the last photos, are noted for the sake of transparency and completeness, and in no way detract from the decorative effect of these two large lamps.

Available for collection in Montpellier, Avignon, Marseille and surrounding areas, with careful packaging and insurance. Please contact me in advance, and do not use the LBC payment system.
