    Pair of 19th-century Carcel lamps made of painted sheet metal.
    Baluster-shaped shafts resting on square, stepped bases.
    They are decorated with green motifs on a gold background on all sides.
    New wiring: gold-plated brass sockets for E27 screw-in bulbs, new wires.
    The wiring runs through the interior of the bases.
    The Spanish-style square lampshades were crafted from a Braquenié fabric called “Monuments of Egypt.”
    This lampshade shape has the advantage of not protruding far back, making it ideal for console tables, mantels, and similar surfaces.
    Note: Very beautiful patina despite the wear on the paint.
