19th century Ottoman Empire flintlock pistol. Richly decorated lock with mythological monster head, swan-neck hammer with reminder of the mythological monster. Round five-sided thunderbolt barrel with long mouthpiece covering the barrel in chased silver, repoussé and coral inlay. Walnut frame inlaid with floral motifs in silver leaf and coral cabochons. Silver underguard and cap. Length 49.5 cm. Good condition, with traces of use. Missing silver and coral inlays, visible on photos N° 9, 10, 11.
