North African Brass TROMBLON Rifle
Algeria, 19th century
Wood, steel, silver, bone, wood and iron
Total length: 95; Barrel length: 57 cm

Bronze barrel, with sides then round, trombloned at the muzzle; stamped three times on the top. Engraved brass breech tail.

Engraved miquelet plate, dated and enhanced with engraved brass plates. The screw of the flint jaw is decorated with nails and two brass plates as well as coral beads.

The wooden mount is decorated with chiseled and openwork silver plates and enriched with coral. At the counter-plate, the screws are encircled with horn rosettes in the shape of flowers. Two brass bail rings.
Wooden rod with stamped silver tip.
Mount with a piece of velvet with embroidered foliate patterns.

Very good condition. Rare.
