Ferrules decorated with laurel leaves and palmettes. The guard depicts the uncrowned imperial eagle holding Jupiter's thunderbolt in its talons, framed by an oak branch and a sprig (during the presidency of Napoleon III, 1848-1852). Ebony grip.
