FUCHI KASHIRA, MENUKI, KOZUKA SET
Japan, late 19th century
Bronze, copper, shakudo.
Pair of menuki representing a golden falcon, flying for one and standing for the other, with ropes and baskets.
Fuchi with bird in flight, branch with golden leaves.
Kashira with falcon on branch, with golden foliage.
The kozuka repeats the falcon-on-branch motif with gilded foliage on a nanako background. It is encircled by gilding.
Gilded shitodome.
In box.
