A very fine naval officer's sword from the Third Republic period.
The leather scabbard with three richly decorated gilt mounts is in very good condition.
The blade, signed Coulaux à Kligenthal, measures 72 cm. It is in good condition for the first two-thirds but shows signs of oxidation for about ten centimeters near the tip (see photo).
