Half-mask of a samurai known as a "Hampo," made of wrought iron with a glossy black lacquer finish. It features a pronounced chin, pegs on the cheeks for attaching the kabuto cord, and a sweat hole under the chin.
The interior is lacquered red (the color red was meant to inspire courage and conceal blood).
Five-tiered "Yodare-kake" (Gorgerin) headpiece made of wrought iron with a glossy black lacquer finish and blue silk braiding (some pieces missing). The reverse is also lacquered black.
