A natural bamboo wall mirror, imbued with the delicate charm of late 19th-century Japonisme.
Its square frame, oriented as a diamond, is composed of bamboo stems in golden honey tones, enhanced by four darker stems, almost black, that cross diagonally at the corners and extend beyond the frame, terminated by their characteristic natural knots. This contrast between light varnished bamboo and dark raw stems creates a refined decorative effect, typical of the Japonisme taste of the Belle Époque (circa 1870-1900).
The beveled square mirror glass (21 x 21 cm) reflects a beautiful old patina, with slight foxing that authentically testifies to its age. The back retains its original cardboard and canvas support, consistent with Napoleon III manufacturing.
Overall dimensions: 54 x 41 cm — a characterful lightweight piece (2 kg), ready to bring an elegant touch of the Orient to a hallway, bedroom or living room with wabi-sabi or Art Nouveau inspirations.
