BONAMICI Mario, painter born in Paris in 1912 and died in Lausanne in 2002. Coming from a family of Italian painters and whose parents arrived in France in 1910, Mario BONAMICI was introduced to drawing and painting very early on. From the age of sixteen, he took courses at the School of Decorative Arts and made his debut in the renowned Jarach et Chambry workshop as an illustrator. He frequented the world of fashion, theater and cinema. His brilliant pencil stroke was noticed and he devoted part of his professional life in France and Switzerland as a fashion designer alongside his career as a painter. This very beautiful work, an oil on panel from the 1970s, is titled “Pont de Paris”. This is actually a view of the Alexandre III bridge with the Seine and the Eiffel Tower in perspective.
