*Born in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1952, Arturo Denarvaez is a self-taught artist who grew up in a family where the atmosphere was conducive to the arts, with a father who was a musician and draftsman, and a mother who was a painter. He quickly developed a desire to travel and discover the world, and from 1974 onwards, he traveled throughout France with his pencils and paints in hand. Then he discovered Paris, a symbol of freedom… He set up his studio in Montreuil in the late 1980s, where he has worked ever since, exhibiting throughout France, Europe, and North and South America.
