From a most decorative set, with an oil on canvas from the end of the 18th century made after a painting by Jacques Charles Oudry (1720-1778) in a richly carved woodwork frame composed of old elements.
The painting formerly covered in canvas during a restoration presents Blanche, braque of King Louis XV holding a mallard in its mouth, the sculpted oak frame is later, composed of old element it presents a wide contoured molding and a beautiful Louis XV decorations still Rocaille decorated with acanthus leaves, small flowers, shells and pomegranate.
The whole is very successful and offers us all the charm of the Louis XV style and immediately echoes the beautiful paneling of the private apartments of the 17th century.
The paintwork formerly restored and on a later frame is in good condition, the bleached colored frame has some small gaps and wear.
