Portrait of Philippe Cahen, the artist's father.
Student of Bouguereau, Tony Robert-Fleury and Giacomotti, within the framework of the Julien academy, a remarkable promotion for a young girl from such a modest background, father a baker, then a butcher. From 1884, she exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français.
Professor of drawing at the Gustave de Rothschild school.
Produces lithographs of works by Jules Adeler.
The painting is reproduced in the illustrated catalog of the salon of 1890 number 355 page 228 source (gallica).
