The Young Harlequin is a superb oil on canvas measuring 55 x 46 cm.
Pierre Ramel studied at the Nancy School of Fine Arts and subsequently opened the Pré Saint Gervais Academy in Paris in 1956.
He exhibited in numerous countries, including the United States, Japan, Iran, and Switzerland. He received many awards, including the Taylor Prize, the National Fine Arts Prize, and the Salon des Artistes Lorrains Prize.
He was vice-president of the Salon d'Automne.
