17th-century oil on copper depicting Christ as Salvator Mundi in its original frame.

Christ is depicted in a half-length portrait, emerging from the clouds, dressed in a red tunic covered by a dark cloak. His right hand is raised in a traditional gesture of blessing, while his left hand rests on a globe surmounted by a cross, a symbol of his sovereignty over the world.
A finely executed, radiant halo emphasizes the sacred nature of the depiction. At the bottom is a partially legible Latin inscription: “EGO SUM LUX MUNDI” (“ I am the light of the world”), a reference to the Gospel according to Saint John (Jn 8:12).
