Oil on canvas, signed and dated "Gischia 1946".
Beautiful composition of colors, reflections and different tones, very luminous and cheerful.
The canvas is original and in good condition, with no restorations, and a few small dots, notably in the lower left-hand corner, which in no way detract from the quality of the work.
The gilded frame is slightly soiled, and the gilding is missing in some places.
Léon Gischia (1903 -1991), born in Dax, Landes.
In his works, color replaces volume, space and light.
A friend of Calder, Derain and Léger, he collaborated with theater director Jean Vilar, for whom he designed sets and costumes.
In Paris, he worked with Le Corbusier and F Léger on the decoration of the Pavillon des Temps Nouveaux (1937).
