Léon Marie Jouenne 1845-1912
Norman painter and wood engraver, he likes genre scenes and still lifes.
He was a student of Hector Handeau and his paintings were exhibited at the Salon des artistes Français, where he received a medal in 1902.
Here he offers us an atypical still life, very luminous and colorful.
The artist has a real talent for light, admiring the gradient touch of the background, the whiteness of the porcelain, the delicacy with which the irises are treated.
A refined and poetic work.
