Description
This composition features three children in 18th-century costumes:
A child sitting on a trunk,
A second standing,
A third leaning, in a tender, expressive pose.
Clothes are finely detailed with :
Hand-applied gold decoration,
Floral motifs and foliage,
Delicate finishes on headdresses and shoes.
At the back, a stylized tree trunk forms a double receptacle for dried flowers or a light composition (decorative use).
The whole rests on an oval base adorned with roses in relief.
Soft palette: white, celadon blue, touches of gold.
