Charming pair of Paris porcelain subjects depicting a couple of elegantly dressed figures in a style inspired by the XVIIIᵉ century. The male figure, accompanied by a small dog, wears a brown suit enhanced with gilding and blue-and-white striped pants. The female figure holds a flower and is dressed in a blue blouse and skirt finely decorated with polychrome floral motifs.
Each subject rests on a rocaille scrolled base richly adorned with gilded scrolls, typical of Old Paris production in the XIXᵉ century. The polychromy is fresh and luminous, with gilding still very much in evidence, underlining the decorative quality of the ensemble.
Very fine overall condition for pieces of this period, with light gilding wear and minor wear marks, with no major accidents.
A refined, decorative set, ideal for antique porcelain collectors, showcases or classical decoration.
