Elongated Meissen porcelain court figurine, designed for salt and pepper. Created by Johann Joachim Kaendler around 1762, the Dame an Schale (Lady on a Bowl) features blue onion decoration. Marked with blue crossed swords and numbered 2875. Associated with the Cavalier figurine on bowl numbered 2872. Listed in the Meissen - Bergman catalog.
The onion motif was invented by Meissen, and was so successful that it was adopted by many manufacturers in Europe.
