Description

A charming polychrome and gilt German porcelain group depicting two musical putti seated on a rocky mound. The composition is embellished with foliage, flowers, and small plants modeled in relief.

The piece rests on an oval base adorned with an elegant gilt frieze composed of interlaced rings and rosettes. The base bears an underglaze blue painted mark attributable to the Volkstedt-Rudolstadt manufactory in Thuringia.

Very good overall condition, with slight signs of wear consistent with the age of the object. The only notable flaw is a small chip on one of the figures' fingers, clearly visible in the photographs. No other significant damage is apparent. Height 19 cm
