Set of 8 Haviland dinner plates Old Paris model

In the 1960's, a Rouart model dated 1911 and already named Vieux Paris was found in the Haviland archives and published in the wake of it. The Vieux Paris decoration is one of Haviland's spearheads. The motifs of this service are quite typical of Marie-Antoinette's taste. This service is close to a decoration of the Manufacture of Sevres dating from the XVIIIth century. A decoration of purple, blue and gold cornflowers highlights a garland of laurels. The latter forms a medallion serving as a case for a flowering bouquet.
