This plate, probably from the Qianlong period, perhaps a little before is decorated with with a well-known 18th c design of crane, golden bamboo stems and lingzhi, but is slightly unusual owing to the black feathers of the bird. On the back is an old sticker detailing in English the faults, but I have not been able to decipher the top line.
Given its age, the condition is not bad and pretty much as described on the sticker: there is a slight hairline, some kiln defects, small scratches on the edge and a little wear. If you look at the photos, you will also notice small indentations on the reverse, rather like finger marks. One can also see the typical halo around some colors. For the most part the plate is smooth and slightly glossy but the pale colors (green and blue) feel slightly rough and look matte.
The dimensions are :23 cms; 325 g.
