This pair of finely potted, 8-lobed Japanese porcelain arita bowls have been made in the style of earlier Kakiemon pieces. The porcelain is fine and white, the rims are brown, the glaze has a slight blue tinge and around the foot on one of the bowls the cobalt ring appears black in parts below the glaze line. Both have a small, single spur mark to the base along with a chenghua mark, written with the extra dot under the first character as is often seen on Arita wares.
Although these bowls are in the style of early kakiemon, they are later examples. I don't know the exact age, but as both bowls have small repairs they were clearly considered worthy of the restoration. One bowl has a small chip to the outside rim, the other has a hairline extending from its repair ; both have signs of wear and kiln faults. Please look carefully at the photos and contact me if you have further questions.
