An attractive 18th c Chinese plate of a good size and reasonable condition. The pattern is typical of the Kangxi period but it could have been made later - I will have to let you make up your own minds on that.
It is nicely potted with that lovely old, thin but hard feeling. The condition isn't perfect: the rim has some fritting and small chips, mainly to the underside, and there looks to have been a repair to a slightly more prominant one. However, there are no cracks or hairlines.
You will also notice some typical kiln faults such as little cracks and small pits in the porcelain, some minor discolouration and around the foot rim there is a slightly rough area of glaze and some patches of kiln grit. I have tried to photograph examples of these minor issues so please have a good look at the photos and let me know if you need anymore information.
This is quite a large piece measuring over 27 cms in diameter and it weighs about 575 g.
