Six Meissen porcelain plates with polychrome decoration in the kakiemon style with the three winter friends (pine, bamboo and prunus). On the sides, flowers and small sheaves of wheat. Marked with crossed swords in blue, five plates with an incised number, one with the E mark engraved for Johann Gottfried Eckoldt.
    Some wear to the decoration.
Provenance: Catalina von Pannwitz Collection. Count Brühl owned an important service with the "three friends" of winter (known as "service mit dem Aste" or "service with the branch"), listed in the 1753 inventory in the Pförten castle office and also in the postum inventory of Brühl's palace in Dresden. Cf. J. Weber, Meissener Porzellan mit Dokoren nacel ostasitischen Vorbildern II (2013) pp. 237-239. 60 pieces were sold by the Soviet Union at Rudolph Lepke's Kunst Auctions-Haus, Berlin, October 21-22, 1930, lot 193.
