This large baluster vase takes us through a Chinese landscape of the late 19th century. Under the blue cover, a poetic decor opens the way through the mountain in which characters wander among houses arranged near a lake.

This poetic decoration evokes the Chinese shanshui, calligraphy depicting natural landscapes where rock and water are present, motifs still appreciated during the Qing dynasty, when our vase was created.

Along the neck, note the traditional fins. A few jumps including one under the base.
