This charming Kyo chawan by master Kotoge Katsuyoshi (also called Tanyama) features an Iridaceae scene on its outer and inner face. These are represented in several forms: blooming, in button and in several colors. The beauty of this bowl is indeed enhanced by multi-colored enamels and a slightly bluish background tint in places, gilding underlines or fills in the shapes. The shapes of the water are graceful, a feeling of harmony emerges, the iris is in its place. Very good condition, no scratches to report, original handwritten wooden box.
