Bronze naturalistic sculpture of two kids playing entitled:
"Le combat de chevreaux"
Paris, circa 1930
Bronze with shaded green patina, signed "I. Rochard" on the base.
Sculpture in perfect condition.
Black marble base with minor wear.
Height 30 cm x L 38 cm

Irénée Félix René Rochard (France, 1906-1984)
From 1924 to 1928, he studied at the Beaux-Arts and Arts Décoratifs schools, and later became a member of the Société nationale des beaux-arts, close to other animal sculptors such as François Pompon and Édouard-Marcel Sandoz.
Many of Irénée Rochard's works have been purchased by the cities of Paris and New York.
