    Small sculpture in bronze with brown patina representing a young boy, cigarette in his mouth and lighter in his hand. Dressed in a cap on his soft hair, Bavarian short pants and clogs, the chubby child stands upright, one hand in his pocket and seems focused on lighting his cigarette.
    Julius Schmidt (1835 - 1920) was a prolific German sculptor of the second half of the 19th century. His works are diverse and very realistic. This bronze "the little smoker" underlines the mischievous side of childhood.
